Lena, this is amazing, I never stopped to think about all the skills that I’ve learned since I started blogging but of course, you’re absolutely right! I’m going to have to update my LinkedIn profile with some of these because they’re so valuable and exactly the kind of thing that employers are looking for – thank you, lovely, this post couldn’t be better timed! I’m job searching at the moment so I’m all about those transferable skills… One thing I always say about blogging is the fact that because everything is self taught (unless there is blogging school that I don’t know about 😂) demonstrates problem solving and perseverance!

such an inspiring post! as a blogger it can be really hard to remember all the positives when you’re going through a creative dry spell or when your views aren’t what you’d hope they’d be. This post however really opens your eyes to all that we do as bloggers and is a really nice pat on the back. great job, really enjoyed reading this. xx

I love that this is a mix of personal things and the more technical side of things. Figuring out SEO and social media is so important but it’s pointless if you don’t work on you and your content first. Such great tips! It’s a lot harder than just writing a post, I wish more people realised! x

Blogging has taught me more than anything else probably EVER has. It’s amazing! Although I still need to work on some things like photography and how to model in a photo without looking like an awkward idiot, I’m so grateful for all the skills I’ve acquired. Who knew I’d be able to run my own business? I certainly wouldn’t have known anything about that before I started blogging! <3

You are dead on when it comes to patience and blogging. I have broken my site (many times), gone through bad hosting and still persist! Some days, admittedly, I second guess myself. Mostly because I’m basing it off numbers. But, I have found that this has been such a passion project and I have been dedicated to it. One of my biggest learning accomplishments has been learning to edit photos! And everyday I’m so amazed by what some of you ladies (and gentleman) are able to pull off!

Honestly you’re right the best way to describe it is as a passion project for real! When you look too much at numbers ad they’re not where you want them too be, it can be disappointing and you sometimes lose your drive…I most def learned the art of editing, I’ve always had a keen eye for detail but I’ve def gotten better. Thanks for commenting! 😀

There are so many things I had no idea about or never thought I’d be any good at before starting my blog and I can’t actually believe I’ve somehow managed to improve or gain so many skills alongside monetising it, too! Blogging is such an incredible hobby to have and it definitely deserves much more credit as just look at this list of skills and I guarantee there are quite a few more too!

Lol Bloglovin really is just a blogger platform to share posts, some people even have their blog directly on Bloglovin’ instead of it being a third party sharing platform. It helps you find similar posts/bloggers to what you like and I not sure what qualifies for having your post being promoted in their email newsletters tbh…it’s not hard to use so give it a try. I hope this helps xx 😀
