Hey Dolls! Seasons Greetings and all that jazz! Hope you’re well and ready for some more festivities this holiday! If not they’re tons on ways you can get in the Holiday Spirit! This post will definitely put you in a Christmas mood with a round up of all my and best Christmas movies to binge. These will be a range from different studios and creators as my last watchlist was solely Disney Christmas movies. I decided on 15 top flicks and really wish I could add more but I love a plethora of films and I would bore you with an extensive list. Let’s begin shall we:
1. Four Christmases
I found this quite humorous and just had to add this to my list. I think it’s a little underrated but could just be my opinion since I’m a huge fan of Reese Witherspoon. Watch as this unhappily married couple is unexpected forced to spend the holidays together with all of their crazy families.
2. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
I guarantee you that you’ll love this movie, the writers clearly had a great sense of humor. I NEVER go a year without watching this (you must think I say so a lot lol but I watch way too many movies). Talk about a crazy and fun family gathering, we all know how ridiculous things can get when relatives stay during the holidays. This movie is the epitome of disastrous family events.
3. Polar Express
Do you believe in Christmas Magic? I know I do and this film is a great reminder of Christmas Spirit and the true meaning of Christmas. It’s a great animation and worth the watch. So hold on to your seats and hop on board the Polar Express!
4. Home Alone
The Home Alone franchise is definitely one of my most memorable Christmas movies as a child. It was witty, funny and adventurous. Little Kevin McCallister gets quite mischievous for the season and an unfortunate accident happens that teaches him not to be in Santa’s bad books and to truly appreciate his family.
5. Arthur Christmas
With the world becoming more tech savvy it was only suitable to bring out a Christmas Movie about Santa fitting in with the current generation. Who knew elves where secretly part of Black Ops aha! With Santa’s some Arthur and company racing against the clock to save Christmas joy, watch and see what happens…Will he make it or not? Will the elves perform extra cool ninja tricks? Or will Arthur and the others get any awesome Christmas treats?
6. The Holiday
Who doesn’t love Kate Winslet AND Cameron Diaz! This is the perfect combo! The film is a bit lengthy but totally worthy of a full sit through. It’s a romantic, Christmassy comedy and you can’t go wrong with that…These strangers encounter some difficulties around Christmas and do a house swap to get away. See what unravels as they do!
7. Love Actually
I actually really love Love Actually! Haha tongue twister much! This is a classical romantic comedy perfect for the holidays. It features several stories tied into one and truly embodies Christmas.
8. It’s A Wonderful Life
Now this movie is Christmas all by itself! It surrounds the magic of Christmas and what it truly means to have holiday spirit. It’s a film that starts off tragic and transitions into a miracle filled with warmth…watch as a man learns the true meaning of Christmas!
Elf is truly comical and follows the tale of an “elf” who learns he doesn’t exactly fit in at the North Pole for a reason. This big elf is filled with spirit and spunk! It’s a movie to enjoy with the whole family, enjoy!
10. Charlie Brown Christmas
As much as everyone gives Charlie Brown a hard time in these movies, he’s well loved! I really don’t have to give a description of how awesome this movie is. Join Charlie Brown and pals in Celebrating the Holidays this Christmas!
11. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a holiday classic! Jim Carrey was the perfect Grinch, I love both the cartoon and live film to this Dr. Suess wonder. If the Grinch can get some holiday cheer and learn to believe in the spirit of Christmas so can you!
Lol this movie suppose to be a horror comedy but for me it was just a comedy. I mean who can be scare of those cute little gremlins regardless of the mischief they got up to.
13. Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer
Rudolf the red nose reindeer had a very shiny nose! And boy did he ever, but it was beautiful and helped Santa along his travel. It’s cute, short and fun to watch!
14. Miracle on 34th Street
This film is a classic that will remain in the hearts of many as more Christmases are to come. The 1994 version of this film is great but you should also check out the original and behold the glory of Christmas.
15. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
There’s something about this film that I really love! It’s not your typical Christmas movie but it is set around Christmas time and revolves the magic children find around a time of war. It’s majestic and a must see if you haven’t already. Who knew a wardrobe could contain so much awesomeness. Follow the adventures of three (3) siblings as they discover Narnia!
