Very positive post! I couldn’t agree more that self love doesn’t mean being bitchy or putting others down. I also can’t stress how much looking in the mirror and meaningfully tell yourself that you love yourself and are valuable.

Thank you! I think sometimes we need a reminder that it’s ok to be happy about our progress and to think great things about ourselves. I tried to make this post uplifting because we need to be more postive with regards to ourselves 🙂

I love self love!! I took part in Mel wells self love week and found it empowering so moving forward from that in September I’ve continued to make sure I give myself “ME TIME” and live in the NOW xx

That sounds like that would’ve been a pretty rad week to take part in! Yes “Me Time” is highly encouraged because you need to take care of yourself and feel empowered, it’s a part of growth 🙂

Beautiful post! I stand by you 1 million % sis, you words were so encouraging. I enjoyed this post. I’ll admit it, I’m really good at motivating others but when it comes to myself, i’m too modest or downplay myself. It’s a detrimental cycle because it promotes low self-esteem. You are right. We need to speak positive about ourselves and shed the insecurities and shame of patting ourselves on the back. Nice post!

Thank you Natonya!! I’m glad you enjoyed it and you really took in what I said. I mean we’re not perfect so I think it’s important to remember not to always beat ourselves up and more importantly be proud of ourselves for all the awesome things we do correctly. We should self motivate more often and be elated to be still be pushing forward 🙂

Really well said. Don’t think anyone could have done that any better.

Self love and self care is so important. I genuinely think they should teach this in schools from a young age. Imagine how much of a kinder world we would live in if the next generation was taught how to love themselves and others as they are.

Hearing this means a lot to me, Thank you! :)💕💕 Agreed, I think as social institutions schools should promote this more. IMO a lot of what is projected onto others starts with an internal conflict…Love starts from within 🙂

Great post… It’s so important to acknowledge where you’ve come from and pat yourself on the back from time to time!

This topic hits home. I just wrote a post on something about self love too (http://allthingsayo.com/its-all-about-how-you-see-yourself/). It’s awesome to see people loving themselves more in a world that wants us to be busy loving other things and other people before we love ourselves

Exactly, most things start with you and insecurities can transcend into some bad habits sometimes. I’ll check out your post 🙂
