Reasons To Be Proud Of Yourself!
Hey there beautiful dolls! It’s been a hot minute, I promise I’ll get better at updating my posts and answering your blog comments, it’s just this time of the year at work is extremely busy. Besides, I have a bunch of posts floating around in my head but I don’t want to force content for you guys that will come off bleh. So, when I received a random but very inspiring DM, I knew what I wanted to talk to you guys about. In today’s post, I want to speak to you on why there are SO many reasons to be proud of yourself!
If you’ve been with me earlier in my journey, you’d know I thoroughly enjoy speaking on matters of self love and self actualization. I think the world we live in is both beautiful and chaotic and it is super easy to get caught up in the pits of negativity, especially when someone’s words can discourage you from being your BEST self! Yes, you may have a bad day and yes, you may fail at something you attempt but DO NOT LET YOUR SUCCESS BE THWARTED BY FAILURE!
I am a firm believer in positive thinking and moving forward despite the many factors that may be trying to drag you back. I want to inspire you and help you gear yourself towards a “I can do it!” mindset, so let’s look at some of the various reasons for you to be proud of yourself!
Reasons To Be Proud Of Yourself:
#1. IT’S OKAY TO BE PROUD OF YOURSELF
Yes, that’s right, it’s okay to be proud of the person you’ve become and of all your hard work. It does not make you conceited, it gives you hope. If you aren’t proud of yourself now, don’t beat yourself up…I assure you, one day you’ll make yourself proud!
#2. You did something amazing this morning…
…You got out of bed! It sounds cheesy but you’d be surprised at how many people don’t when they feel defeated or how many people can’t. Tomorrow is not promised, so even if it takes you an hour or two, get out of bed and get your day going!
#3. You are trying your BEST to maintain a balance in your life
Everything in life requires balance. You may not believe you are balancing different aspects of your life well but you are. The mere fact that you are trying with regards to accommodating EVERYTHING in your life, is a lot.
#4. You have surpassed many trials
Life may have seemed insurmountable but you kept pushing. You did not give up and you reading this is proof that you are still going. You are still here and you deserve to be 😀
#5. You’ve found a reason to smile…
…Even when you thought you had none. There are always reasons to be thankful.
#6. You’ve kept improving throughout your days
You, tried and tried and tried and you’ve improved, improved, improved. You’ve made mistakes along the way because that’s all part of the process, but you’ve learned from them and I think that counts for something
#7. You ate something because you wanted to!
This may sound silly but I find a lot of young girls obsessing over their weight (and I am one of them). I’ve keep a long way in trying to accept my body and coming to terms with my love for food without feeling like I need to starve myself to be a certain size. Food is awesome and there’s nothing wrong if you want to eat pizza or have a bite of chocolate. Eat something because you want to not because your food organizer told you it’s time to eat 200 calories. It may take time but you can love your body! <3
#8. You are a beautiful person
You are a beautiful person inside and out, you try to help others even when you can’t help yourself. Sure, you may make mistakes but who doesn’t. It does NOT make you a bad person, we all deserve forgiveness, especially from ourselves. So if nothing else stuck with you, remember one of the reason to be proud of yourself is…knowing YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL!
There are various reasons to be proud of yourself and the progress you’ve made. You might be having a bad day or even a bad week but you do not have to have a bad life. Do not let yesterday’s tragedies deter you from the beauties of yourself and the world around you. Take pride in your many efforts…
…And MOST importantly please DON’T GIVE UP!
If you’re reading this and you ever feel the need to talk to someone and need some gentle reminders that you are doing a great job or maybe just someone to listen, do not hesitate to contact me. Do not fear, yo are never alone <3
Thank you dolls for tuning in, remember take some time to yourself and know your worth. Do have a lovely day!

I love how positive all of your posts are. I’m forever trying to push myself to have a positive attitude because I’m always my harshest critic. But you’re right, you’ve probably done way more than you think 💕

I love how positive this post is! I agree with all of these reasons to be proud of ourselves! We’re always trying our best and should give ourselves a bit more credit.
I LOVE #7!!! My body craves for certain things sometimes and even though it’s unhealthy, I’m always extremely happy whenever I satisfy it. Like yesterday, I really wanted a happy meal (haven’t had one in 4 years) and was totally worth it!

You’ve made yet another inspirational masterpiece, one that I will be taking into consideration as I go on with my week. I am always so nervous because my grades aren’t where they need to be, and it always seems like no matter what I do it’s never enough for that C I want. College has gotten to me, and when I think of quitting I think of how I’ve pushed myself with the classes I’ve taken and the things I’ve learned, good and bad. So thank you for helping me realize not everything needs to be perfect

I’d like to believe that I’m a believer in positive thinking too, but I failed too often and then I get too stressed and I forgot to be positive again. So thank you for this post, Lena! x Ain

What a lovely post. I know many depressed souls and for them getting out of bed is their biggest victory daily.
Yes, there’s always stuff to be grateful for and yes surviving the trials. Well we SHOULD give ourselves much more credit for that.
Thank you for sharing. This really lifted my spirit.

I used to be so harsh on myself, and was never proud of anything we did. I always had that fear of being conceited and didn’t want people to think that I thought too highly of myself. This year was the year of putting myself first and loving myself. I have overcome a lot in the last 6 months, and realized that there are loads of things for me to be proud of. I am a good person and I am constantly striving to do the best job I can. Great post Lena 🙂 xxx

Loved this post so much! Your blog spreads so much positivity. I love the point you made with #4. Whenever I’m going through a challenging situation, looking back on all the tough things I’ve already been through shows me what I’m capable of doing and getting through. Thanks for the great post lovely! I look forward to future ones 🙂
